… would be a cat. But I won’t be receiving a kitty any more than you’ll be getting a pony. (Allergies in the family. Meow.)
So instead, here’s a wish that all kittehs get whatever their hearts – or paws – desire.
What I want for Christmas is also a kitteh – and after years of not being able to have one, also because of allergies – it just might happen. I have an appointment in two short hours for NAET – have you ever heard of it? I am putting big faith in it to do the trick and kick these nasty allergies – and then I hope that Santa leaves me a black kitty with a red collar under the Christmas tree.
(Sorry, I saw this post, and then got all excited again about hoping this works – and I don’t have anyone else to share it with right now!)
I really hope this will work for you! My husband tried conventional desensitization shots and I honestly can’t say that he noticed any difference.
The one thing that really helped with skin reactions was installing a whole-house water filter. We had noticed that he didn’t get skin breakouts when we traveled to Germany, where the water is much more lightly chlorinated. Here, he had a terrible time with allergic-type rashes. The filter almost completely eliminated them. I don’t know if that has made any difference to his respiratory reactivity but it sure has improved his quality of life.
As for me, I am increasingly allergic to *something* I fear – but it’s definitely not cats, thank goodness!
Good luck with your therapy. I hope it works!!
