If you thought last week’s Caturday post was alarming, this week’s is downright scary:

And yes, I realize this blog is in danger of turning into a mere catblog. That’s what the Kittywood conspiracy is all about. I’m hoping, though, that with the kids back in school I’ll have a little more time to devote to writing about gender and politics.

I approve of catblogging … produces much less intestinal discomfort than thinking about RL.
Hilarious!
There is absolutely no possibility of too much catblogging. This video proves it. LOL.
I actually think that real life has been pretty overwhelming lately, and that too has discouraged me from blogging. I feel like I’ve got outrage fatigue – I continue to read blogs (more than ever, I’m afraid) but I hardly know where to begin when it comes to Rick Perry, for instance. So much has already been written, exposing his stupidity and evil, that any reasonable electorate would tell him not to bother leaving Texas.
So yeah, cats are cuter, and arguably smarter too.
I sympathise about the fatigue. Coming here to the UK has helped immensely with choosing what I see on television and what news I read. The tone of the news is calmer overall and it has helped me not stress so much about politics. I cannot emphasize enough how pervasive the media is in the US. I’m sure you know this from your sojourns in Germany!
On another note I reviewed “The Group” on my Goodreads profile. I’d be interested in your thoughts: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/197424113
